LOUISE C. KOVACH SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCED

Huntington Beach- January 2007

 Ronnie Kovach's Fishing Ventures announced the creation of the Louise C. Kovach Scholarship Fund. A financial grant for tuition and books will be awarded to a local students who fish, in honor of a woman who championed education above all else.

 Louise Kovach spent countless days on the water with her husband Ed Kovach, aboard their 25-foot Skipjack the "Hunky Dory", and was considered the oldest pro-staffer for the venerable Haddock Lures company. She also fully supported her son Ron's education at UCLA, and career in the sportfishing industry. 

 The scholarship has been established to help promulgate good science in a sport that has been inundated with well-intentioned but questionable input. Initial funding will be seeded with $1,000 by Ronnie Kovach, who is a longtime supporter of United Anglers.
